Library report – “The Persistence of Memory” written by David Mack

Generations mourned for the fate of the golden complexioned android, Data, after STAR TREK Nemesis. Nearly ten years have passed since his on screen death, yet Data is not lost to us.

Although the continuing novels are not considered “cannon” the latest Next Generation novel “The Persistence of Memory” written by David Mack, explores the theft of Data’s older but slower brother B-4, his sibling Lore, Doctor Soong’s two failed androids, and his niece, Lal’s, bodies form the Daystrom Institute . Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise E charge to the rescue of the slow witted android and stumble upon a familiar yet mysterious stranger whose story spans over three decades.

Will the intrepid crew be able to rescue B-4 before his matrix is overloaded by Data’s memories and they both are completely lost? If you are as intrigued as I was, this is a book you would enjoy.
