From the Roving Food Reporter

Greetings foodies,

Wash-Park-Grill-LogoLast night I was privileged to dine at the Wash Park Grill located just west of University on Mississippi. It is a nice Italian restaurant and bar. The service while not great was still pretty good. My dining companion had the Hearts of Romaine salad which was very large and very much a knife and fork salad – she said that it was quite good – and a martini of sorts (which received a rave review). I had the Colorado Chicken Picatta which was delicious and ice tea. The waiter told us that almost everything is made from scratch. The atmosphere is casual and was very good for a blind date. The amount of parking in the general area is very limited (I had to walk two blocks from where I was able to find space for my runabout) but free valet parking is available (which I didn’t notice until after my brief stroll). My dinner ran $30 including the tip. Although I do recommend this restaurant its really not the place for me but you never know – maybe if someone else is doing the driving.
