New From the Roving Restaurant Reporter

wazee_logoAfter arriving a couple of hours early for a recent concert at the Pepsi Center, my girlfriend and I decided to seek out a nearby restaurant for dinner.

Within a few blocks (about 5 minutes on foot) we came across the Wazee Supper Club. After checking the prices and food options on the menu posted outside, we decided to pop in. We were greated warmly and seated promptly. The decor is fairly laid back (though, in all honesty, I don’t normally pay too much attention to that sort of thing when I’m with good company). We ordered an appetizer of pretzel bites (which arrived warm) and cheese sauce and a medium all meat pizza for the main course.

The menu consists of American staples with several burger and sandwich options in addition to pizza. The food was quite tasty and the service is very good (the drink refills were there right before we needed them). The portions are also reasonable for the price. There was one small problem which the waitress caught before we really did and she had it corrected as quickly as possible and I commend her for it. (We had ordered a medium pizza but they only gave us a small. We had finished the first pizza only a couple of minutes before the second small was being set down.) The total price was just under $30 before tip. Overall this is a nice place and I’ll gladly go back if given the chance.

Bon appetit.
