THANK-YOU ONE AND ALL!!!

IMAG1064As the First Officer of the USS Tiburon I would like to formally and publicly thank ALL of the officers, crew, and general members that showed up and helped out during Denver Comic Con. All of your hard work and seemingly tireless effort is greatly appreciated. Additional thanks go out to the crew of USS Pioneer (who loaned us the use of their holodeck arch), Denver Comic Con (for allowing us to be a part of this ever expanding, wildly popular event), IDW comics (who sent us some freebies to hand out), and the folks over at “Star Trek: Axanar” (who provided us with banners, business cards, and a great pull for any Trekker that just happened to walk past).

IMAG1062Most importantly, however, I would like to thank the hundreds if not thousands of Star Trek fans who stopped by to meet us, have a little fun at our space, talk and chat for a while, or who just wanted to have their picture taken at our really cool (came out WAAAY better than I had hoped) Borg Regeneration Alcove. I hope that many of  you are reading this post right now. Seriously, we wouldn’t be doing any of this if it weren’t for YOU the fans and the appreciation you show us for all our hard work. Thank you all for making it fun and the payment in the form of hundreds of friendly smiles each and every day of the Con – it really means a lot to us. I hope to see at least a few of you at some of our upcoming events.

And finally, I would be remiss if I were to forget to thank those involved with the planning and building of our Borg Regeneration Alcove – for the sake of a bit of brevity I’ll leave the naming of names for the upcoming 10th Anniversary Party. THIS was our center piece for the whole weekend. I lost count of the number of people who had nothing but praise for how it came out.  Other than a couple of comments about the color of the plasma disk (green instead of blue) I don’t recall hearing a negative or even questionable comment about this awesome piece the entire weekend. The number of people who (as individuals or in groups) were drawn in just by the Alcove was simply incredible. I heard countless compliments from fans and even non-fans alike. “Come on. You know you want your picture taken in the Borg Regeneration Alcove.” (I can see the look in your eyes from 50 feet away, whether your a Trekker or just like things that look really, REALLY cool. <wink, wink>)

Thank you one and all for a great Denver Comic Con weekend. I think that I can safely speak for most if not all of the officers and crew when I say that we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Sincerely,

The XO

Here is an update for you all!
