The election results are in. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Region 17 election by voting.

Re: Appointment of Region 17 Regional Coordinator

I have received word from the Inspector General that, in the matter of the Region 17 Regional Coordinator Election, Lieutenant General Bran Stimpson has received a majority of the votes cast and has met the eligibility requirements to serve as the Regional Coordinator.

Here is the official verbiage from the Inspector General:

“It is my duty to announce that the Region 17 Coordinator election has concluded, with LGEN Bran Stimpson, based on the polling of the chapters of Region 17, wining in the election phase. He is hereby ordered to take command of Starbase 17 and the 17th Fleet. LGEN Stimpson shall serve a
two-year term, ending 4/30/2016. May God have mercy on his soul.”

So, in accordance with STARFLEET rules, Lieutenant General Bran Stimpson is hereby recognized as the winner of said election and is appointed to the position of Regional Coordinator of Region 17 effective on May 1, 2014.

Lieutenant General Stimpson, you are directed to proceed forthwith and to begin transition activities with Lieutenant General John Roberts in preparation to assume the command of Starbase 17 and the Seventeenth Fleet. Also, the USS Tiburon shall be authorized to serve as the Flagship of Region 17 as of May 1, 2014.

I look forward to your participation on the Admiralty Board as the representative of STARFLEET Region 17.
