Good day everyone!
Wow, another month has passed in the blink of an eye and a recent meeting of the Command Staff (those mystical officers that try to keep things running) filled up a fair portion of the Tiburon Calendar for the next several months. With 12 members added since Denver Comic Con I’m hoping that we’ll see several new faces at one or more of these upcoming events.
On Saturday, August 19 we have our monthly meeting at 1:30.
The following weekend August 25 – 27 we’ll show the colors at Fort Collins Comic Con and host the Trekkin’ Trivia panel.
September 2 we’ll be doing a picnic at Chatfield Reservoir at 2 pm (location at Chatfield is TBD).
September 8 we’ll be in Castle Rock for the Friday Night Social (location is TBA) with a 7 pm start time.
September 9 has those who signed up for the Excel Day of Service at Bluff Lake at 7 am (you may have heard the Skipper groan about the start time but he’ll live).
September 16 is another meeting of the general membership.
And on Sunday, September 24 the crew will gather for the premier of Star Trek: Discovery.
On the edge of the calendar, we’ve got a Corn Maze outing in October but I’ll fill you in on the details next month.
And finally… For those who have been reading this site for a few years, you know that we normally host a Halloween party in October. Unfortunately, that will not be the case this year as the majority of the Command Staff will be involved in the final preparations of a non-Tiburon event which absolutely, positively, can not be postponed. Anyone that’s been around in the last few months is aware of what that is.
